Posted: Thursday 12 August, 2004
Qamea Resort and Spa is proud to have been recognized with praise in Frommer's South Pacific Guide, 9th Edition (released in June 2004). Frommers publishes leading travel guide books for destinations around the world, and is respected for their unbiased and comprehensive resort and destination evaluations. The author of Frommer's South Pacific Guide, Bill Goodwin, has been covering the South Pacific for years, and he has personally checked out every resort in the Guide, including Qamea Resort & Spa. Frommers also publishes an online version of its guide at www.frommers.com
In Frommer's 9th Edition, Bill Goodwin writes that "If I were to build a set for a South Seas movie, it would feature these bungalows covered by a foot-thick Fijian thatch." (Page 341). In addition to stating that Qamea Resort & Spa has "some of the most stunning bures and main building of any resort in Fiji," Bill Goodwin found that the resort provided excellent value for money, is one of the Best Honeymoon Resorts in the South Pacific, and Qamea Island as one of the most beautiful islands in the South Pacific.
"We are very proud to have received such positive praise in Frommer's 9th Edition," said Bryce Earwaker, co-owner of Qamea Resort & Spa. "Long before we even thought of entering the resort industry, my partner and I often relied on Frommer's Guides to provide accurate travel tips and advise before we embarked on a vacation, and it is a special honour to receive this recognition from a source that we personally know and respect," said Earwaker.
